In the following mirror defogger installation procedure a three-prong plug is installed on the leads from the mirror defogger so that it can be plugged into the electrical outlet on the light fixture above the sink. The wires for the defogger are fed directly upward from behind the mirror to the light fixture above the mirror. This installation procedure requires that an electrical outlet be available near the mirror.

Note: A small piece of plastic sleeving is used to conceal and protect the wires and a plastic, self-adhesive wall anchor is used to secure the wires in place.

  • Flat Screwdriver
  • Phillips Screwdriver (Robertson in Canada)
  • Wire Cutters
  • Wire Strippers
  • Pencil
  • Measuring Tape

  • Mirror Defogger
  • Cardboard (Optional)
  • Three Prong Plug
  • 3/8” Plastic Sleeving
