Back to Before you begin

Step 1 Mark the top of the mirror
Step 2 Remove the mirror
Step 3 Mark the wall
Step 4 Cut hole for electrical box
Step 5 Remove Light Fixture
Step 6 Cut & strip Romex cable
Step 7 Feed & connect cable
Step 8 Install electrical box
Step 9 Connect mirror defogger
Step 10 Test mirror defogger

 

Step 4 - Cutting the Hole for the Electrical Box

Use the screwdriver or the drywall saw to punch out the corners of the outline then cut along the lines so that a rectangular opening is formed that is just slightly larger that the electrical box.
