Step 1 Mark the top of the mirror

Step 4 Cut hole for electrical box
Step 5 Remove Light Fixture
Step 6 Cut & strip Romex cable
Step 7 Feed & connect cable
Step 8 Install electrical box
Step 9 Connect mirror defogger
Step 10 Test mirror defogger

Step 3 - Marking The Wall for the Location Of The Defogger

In order to determine the location of the mirror defogger pad, locate a point on the wall that is in the center of the sink or vanity and such that the top of the mirror defogger pad is at the height of the tallest person who will be using the mirror. This point will be a few inches below the line you drew indicating the top edge of the mirror.

Using the level mark a cross on the wall indicating the center and top of the defogger. This mark coincides with the point where the supply leads connect to the defogger.
